Wednesday, 8th of June 2011- 3rd KL band members arrived at YMCA for another session of band practice. The songs we are practicing is for the upcoming band concert on 2nd of July 2011. Our very first band concert. After band practice ends at 3p.m, a few senior members inclusive of NCOs, Staff Sergeants and Officers formed squads with the 1st JB members for something very exciting. A tour around Kuala Lumpur! One of the famous places we’ve visited is Times Square. Everyone had a great time of fellowship together. The outing ended at 10p.m and everyone went back to YMCA.

Thursday, 9th of June 2011- After morning singspiration with 1st JB, a combined session of band practice started at 10a.m. The whole group consisted of 1st JB, 1st KL, 3rd KL and 10th KL band members. Led by 1st JB’s band instructor, we learned different ways of warming up with our instruments and a few useful facts too! The combined session lasted until 11.30p.m. Then everyone went for sectional practices to brush up on each section’s part of the song Colonial Collage. At 12.30p.m it was lunch time, some went to the coffee shops opposite of YMCA, some even went as far as KL Central to have their meals!

Everyone came back after lunch and band practice resumed until 5p.m. Some of the boys went home after that and some stayed back for sports like Captain ball, Basketball and Volleyball.

All of us had a great time with our fellow companies even from Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. 3rd Kuala Lumpur thanks everyone who had participated in this time of fellowship and learning. For the KL companies, see you in Founder’s Day. For 1st Johor Bahru, see you in Pesta 2012!
