Venue: Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil
Members that attended the Youth Day (Hari Belia), gathered in the school assembly hall in full uniform. We boarded the bus at 12.30noon to Bukit Jalil. Hari Belia, here we come!!! We arrived at the stadium around one o’clock. Upon reaching, we saw other uniform organization’s too . We gathered in the stadium cafe and the 2nd KL and 10th KL members and officers were already there. We took our lunch served by the café and we then waited the event to begin.
The event started at 2 p.m. There were performances such as the drill performance by the Kuala Lumpur drill champion KRS (Kadet Remaja Sekolah) and a group called Dilema performed a few songs. The performances were interesting. After the performances, all the youth organizations gathered in lines in the middle of the stadium for the grand opening ceremony . The time finally came. The V.I.P, our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and few ministers arrived. The surrounding turned from quiet to full of cheering! We sang the National Anthem, NegaraKu and patriotic songs and the Youth Day Celebration theme song led by the choir. Later on, everyone raise up their right hand for the oath. Later, the minister began to give speeches. After their speeches, there were also award presentation for the past year's best business man. Approximately 5.30p.m. it was the end of the opening ceremony, before leaving we took a group photo with the 2nd KL and 10th KL boys together.
At 6p.m we board the bus and went back to SMK Taman Desa. On the way back to SMK Taman Desa, funny things happened…. Apple Chow Chun Yang was 'attaced' by everyone in the bus for talking too much . .Anyway it ended without any scars or blood . Soon, we arrived school, then members slowly left one by one. In conclusion, we’ve learn many good things today from those speeches, and we know more about each other among the boys from other companies in KL!
