Kuala Lumpur, May 10, 2008 - For three of us (Hoe Shing, Ping Yung & myself), it was an honour and opportunity to be able to represent 3rd KL in 10th KL's anniversary celebration. Our task was pretty straight forward, blow the trumpet when the VIP arrives and then accompany the 10th KL's mini band as the VIP inspects the guard-of-honour. After that, we can enjoy the sumptuos food and the various performances. I must say the highlight of all the performances is having Mr Gurmit Sigh (ok, better knows as Pua Choo Kang or PCK) to entertain us. Although he was without his big mole, curly hair and yellow boots, we can still tell it was Mr Dun Play Play!
Part of the programme was to raise funds for the 10th KL Band and also to support the orphanage at Rumah Charis. The children from Rumah Charis will be attending BB as part of their programme. As usual at every anniversary, there is the birthday song and cake cutting. Our officers who attended the dinner was Mr Tan Chee Keong, Mr Ng Yee Khai, Mr Jasper Low, Mr Lim Han Sheng and Mr Kok Yeng Voon (former officer). Oh yes, Mr Lawrence Tay was helping to coordinate the show and Mr Terence Tay was the photographer. We did not do very much but we are glad that we could be part of 10th KL's anniversary celebration. Happy Birthday 10th KL!
