It's been donkey years since I last went for a school sports day. So, when Alex invited me to photograph this event, I was not hesitant to say 'yes' to him. Indeed it brought back good memories of my school days back in the 80s. I don't remember being a winner of any medals in those days, I guess I was just not an athlete, moreover there were just too many 'district' and 'state' runners to compete with! But school sports day and the preparation prior to the actual day was indeed an exciting event for us. Of course, the other reason to get excited is the 'holiday' on the next day!
Coming back to March 22, 2008, well, the opening and march past when on well with the 3rd KL Boys' Brigade Band leading the rest of the contingents. After two speeches, an oath was lead by the head prefect. Just before the competition began, there was a lion dance display by a few students of the school.
